I will never forget the first time that I saw the Northern Lights. It was on my first trip to Alaska. Here’s how I photograph it.
I had a vision in my head of a photo with the couple in the foreground with Mount Hood looming large in the background. An effect that I could not achieve with a wide-angle lens.

Although our adventures were severely limited in 2020 we were able to make it to Alaska for our annual workshop.
